XII Weeds Science Congress and symposium on herbicides and growth regulators

Dear Colleagues,

The Weed Science Society of Serbia, in an effort to follow the development of weed science as a very dynamic discipline, preserved the long tradition of organizing congresses on weeds. On behalf of the organizational and scientific-expert committee, as well as the Weed Science Society of Serbia, we invite you to take part in the work of the XII Weeds Science Congress and symposium on herbicides and growth regulators, which will be held from 23-26. September 2024 in the beautiful surroundings of Silver Lake. Common to congresses on weeds is the effort of members of the Weed Science Society of Serbia, other domestic and foreign participants to professionally present the latest scientific results and exchange experience in the field of studying and controlling weeds, as well as professional papers on herbicides and growth regulators. And this time, we expect plenary lectures by invitation, oral and poster presentations by eminent foreign and domestic lecturers within thematic sections designed to bring together and encourage more active participation of all meeting participants in the best possible way. Also, the program will include an attractive excursion aimed at getting to know the tourist potential of Veliko Gradište, cultural heritage, quality wines, etc. We invite you to contribute to the successful work of the congress with your participation.

Instructions for preparing and abstracts submission:

Prepare the summary in MS Word, on one side of A4 format, margins 2.5 cm, font Times New Roman 12, maximum 500 words and 5 keywords. The summary should contain the title of the work (in capital letters), surname and first name of the author, name and address of the institution, e-mail address of the first or one of the authors, a text with an introduction, material and methods, results and conclusions. The summary must be submitted in electronic form to the address of the organizer of the meeting kongreskorovima2024@gmail.com by May 31, 2024.

Abstracts will be peer-reviewed, and reviewers may request authors to make certain changes to the abstract. The authors are obliged to make any changes to the summary no later than June 30, 2024.

Only works that have passed the procedure of application, review and printing of the summary will be included in the congress program. The text of the entire papers must be prepared according to the instructions for publication in the journal Acta herbologica and submitted to the address of the conference organizer by September 30, 2024.

  • Changes to the abstract and submission of the final text: 30.06.2024.
  • Deadline for applying sponsors: 07.2024.
  • Sending the registration form for Congress participants: 06.2024.
  • Sending the second notification with the meeting program: 08.2024.
  • Authors are invited to submit full papers (prepared according to the journal’s instructions) for publication in the journal Acta herbologica.
