About the Society
About
Yugoslav Society for Weed Science was founded in Sarajevo 1973. President of the Society was Professor Dr. Josip Kovačević, and then Professor Dr. Taib Šarić. After the breakup of the country, Academician Professor Dr. Vaskrsija Janjić and Professor Dr. Momčilo Kojić founded Weed Science Society of Serbia, which is still functioning today. President of the Society from 1992 to 2017 was Academician Professor Dr. Vaskrsija Janjić, and from 2017 Dr Goran Malidža. From the beginning till today, all activities in the field of weed science have been organized by the Weed Science Society of Serbia.
